Censorship Blinds

Is The Censorship Of Thoughts, Opinions and Ideas Relevant or Acceptable Anymore?

Who is rattling TEDx we ask?

Graham Hancock and Rupert Sheldrake have struck a cord of debate with their open and honest approach to life, experience and view of the human condition and consciousness. Well respected men with many, yet like others of the same caliber, they have not come to this stature with easy of acceptance from the majority within the establishment of the field they rock.

At TEDx Whitechapel on January 13, 2013, Graham Hancock gave a passionately argued talk in which he described the transformative impact that ayahuasca (containing the drug DMT) had had on him and argued that responsible adult usage of such drugs was a fundamental right. The talk was viewed more than 130,000 times on YouTube.

At TEDxWhitechapel on January 13, 2013, Rupert Sheldrake gave a provocative talk in which he suggests that modern science is based on ten dogmas, and makes the case that none of them hold up to scrutiny. According to him, these dogmas — including, for example, that nature is mechanical and purposeless, that the laws and constants of nature are fixed, and that psychic phenomena like telepathy are impossible — have held back the pursuit of knowledge.

However due to the topic of choice, TEDx has moved these two talks off the TEDx YouTube channel over onto the main TED Blog.

TEDx has been reviewing the response this past weekend to their decision, and are recapping what happened to suggest a way forward.

One must remember, these two men are highly intelligent, respected and accomplished within their fields and world, they are closer to 100 years old, than not, and have much of value to offer the greater population, stemming from an honest, experienced and personal growth factor, from both their own point of view, and that of others closely linked.

For TEDx to have moved these worthy and worth while talks, that absolutely rock the establishments ideas of what we should and shouldn’t know or be prompted to question, to the very foundations of the untruths pushed upon mainstream society (for an open discussion to take place in the back room so to speak), goes to show how important and relevant these topics really are.  Indeed, we may even be able to consider them as dangerous to the mainstream exposure, for relevance of questionability as to the established indoctrinated ideas that are clearly not there to serve humans to reach their fullest potential, of being.
